Al-Qadr
Verse 1
Indeed, we sent the Qurʾān down on the Night of Eminence and Excellence, one of the nights in the month of Ramaḍān.
Verse 2
And what will make you realize, O Prophet, what the Night of Al-Qadr [Decrees] and Eminence is?
Verse 3
The Night of Al-Qadr is a blessed night: righteous work on [that night] is better than the work of a thousand months in which there is no Night of Al-Qadr.
Verse 4
The descent of the angels and Jibrīl, may Allāh keep him safe from all harms and faults, occurs often during [that night] with the permission of their Lord, [with] every matter He has ordained for that year.
Verse 5
It is [a night of] serenity and security, the whole of it–there is no evil during it until the rise of dawn.
