In Word and Deed

The shaikh, Dr. Muḥammad ibn Ghālib Al-ʿUmarī, may Allāh protect him, said:

Don’t be, when you advise [people], a meek, gentle lamb, and [then], when you interact [with them], a lowly, despicable wolf.

So the phrases you put together are the words of good manners and conduct, but what actually comes about from you reveals [you] and exposes [you].

Whoever wants [his] circumstances to be upright must force himself to make his actions match his speech.

Other than that is [just] using up words and having [only] a momentary impact….

And Allāh is the only One who can help us.
